Amusement parks are fun places: to take children on summer vacations or just for a day of entertainment. There are a variety of different types of amusement parks in Indiana. Some of these include indoor amusement parks such as The Chewin Park in Fort Wayne; The Midwest City Area Amusement Park in Fort Wayne; Cedar Point Amusement Park in North Versailles; The Wintwits Tree House Amusement Park in Fort Wayne; Riverboat Cruises in Vincinity; and The Lanes at Olio. Indoor amusement parks feature rides such as zip lines, roller coasters, and various other attractions including gondolas. Outdoor amusement parks feature rides such as downhill roller coasters, slide shows, bowling Alleys, kiddies’ rides, and much more.

The waterfall is seven stories high and is lined with stone walls that contain stepping stones leading to the top of the waterfall. At the top of the waterfall is a restaurant called Indian Chief’s Restaurant. This restaurant features Indian cuisine, live entertainment, movies, dance shows, music, and lots of food. 

In Fort Wayne: there are two amusement parks; Midwest City Central Park and Southwestern Comfort Park. Midwest City’s Central Park is one of the biggest in Fort Wayne with over four thousand acres of space devoted to amuse its visitors with several types of rides and attractions. There are boat docks, boating, picnic, arcade, electronic dart boards, laser gun shooting, games, a life size Ferris wheel, video screens, an electronic musical wall, inflatable funfair, jingle boat rides, jump lines, lazy rivers, picnic tables, stages for slide show, kiddy rides for toddlers, playgrounds, a petting zoo, a band shell pit, an inflatable merry-go-round, a five star hotel and lots more. The other amusement parks in Indiana are located in suburban areas including Elkhart, Indianapolis, Michigan City, Oak Creek, Fortville, Terre Haute, Kokomo, Lafayette, and New Castle. Fort Wayne’s downtown area is known for restaurants, bars, nightclubs, movie houses, shopping malls, movie theaters, shopping malls, condos, and other amenities. Elkhart’s downtown area boasts a couple of hotels, one of which is The Westin Peachtree Hotel. 

Fort Wayne is home to numerous state parks: making it a great destination for a family vacation or a day trip with friends.
